Gil, Carole, R. G., Lee, Randy and I waterskied in St. Augustine when it was in vogue. I stayed in touch with him until recently. I share your grief. God be with the entire family--he loved y'all.Laverne Smith Schmid

Gil was a good and loyal friend for fifty years. We have only good memories of our times together. We will miss him greatly. Sorry we didn't make the trail ride on the horses from Lake City to St. Augustine.

So sorry to hear of Gils passing. He was such a great guy, we just wanted him to go on and on. For the twelve years we lived acrocc the street Gil was the best neighbor anyone could ask for.

We will miss Gil. We will miss the music. It was an honor to know him and be his neighbor. And we have the most admiration for Linda, a true saint. Our prayers are with you.
