Gilbert F. Whittemore

I can’t believe it’s been 3 years. I am thinking of the Whittemore family as they lost their beloved mom, Aunt Dot, this year. Now Uncle Gil, Aunt Dot, and Ginty are together. We miss you all so much. With love, Mary Koledo McCloud

Gil helped move the American Precision Museum forward. Gil did a lot for APM as our Collections Committee chair, Board Secretary, and Board Chair over several years. He did a great deal for the larger museum community in New England. He taught at Harvard's museum studies program and was a frequent presenter at the New England Museum Association conference on the topic of museum legal issues. Ginty was the oldest of our 19 cousins on the Novakoski side and we will miss him so much. Our hearts and love go out to Aunt Dot, Ansti, Jeff, Scott, Jonathan, Cammy, April, Eddie, and all of his nieces, nephews, friends, relatives, and dogs. Ginty was brilliant and funny and sweet! Gil was one of the greatest men I have ever known. I will remember him fondly and miss him tremendously.

Gil was a gentle soul who treated everyone with kindness and respect. Always a warm smile. So sorry he has left us so early.

My deepest and most heartfelt sympathy goes out to Gil's family. Gil was always an outstanding person. He welcomed you no matter what the circumstances. A kind and generous man! God Bless

Gil has certainly been missed at the Springfield Humane Society where he was one of the best dog walkers.
