Not sure what to say?

I am sorry I was unable to attend services for your Dad. You all have my sympathy, love and prayers. I know you are aware of the great heritage you have in your father and your mother, certainly tops in everyone's book - a great mentor to many. God bless you all. Hilda Hamilton

Gil was such a wonderful man and a great example of what a Christian should be like. We will miss him, but the Bible says, “When the body dies it returns to the dust of the ground, but the spirit returns to God” (Eccl. 12:7). Because of his faith in Jesus, we know Gil is in heaven with his Savior today.

I'll Miss You Greatly !!

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I'm sorry but won't be able to be in LaGrange either for visitation or the funeral, but my thoughts and prayers are with you all. He is with his sweetheart Genevieve now, whole, complete, and no more tears or pain!! I felt it a privilege to know & help care for two such fine Christian people. May God comfort you as only He can.....Odell & Steve Compton, Crestwood.

Semper Fi Gil Winters, thank you for your service in the USMC during WW II. Thank you for being a friend to the Gividen family and to the La Grange Baptist Church and before that DeDeaven Memorial Baptist church. Once a Marine always a Marine and as they say in the third stanza of the Marine Hymn, if the Army or Navy ever look on Heavens Scene they will find the streets guarded by United States Marines. May our Lord be with your family during this time. Billy G. Gividen, Chaplain, Kyana Det....

He was such a great man. He gave us all an example to live by . His family is the way they are because of him. Thanks Gil for giving us such a Godly example of how to live. I will never forget you . I will always remember the ride to the church on my wedding day. We will miss you. Rejoice in the peace of God
love and with sympathy
