Gilberto G Garcia

Gilberto G. Garcia, age 79, passed away May 12, 2016. He was born on October 17, 1936 to Raul and Herlinda Garcia in Asherton, Texas. He was raised in Asherton. He married his wife of 35 years on June 12, 1958. Gilberto was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and husband. His laughter and sense of humor touched all who knew him. Gilberto enjoyed participation in family reunions, hanging out with family and friends, and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved football games! He will always be remembered for his love of laughter, quiet nature, sense of humor, sense of adventure, and devotion to family. He is preceded in death by his wife Amada G. Garcia, brothers; Rudy (Raul) Garcia, Rene Garcia, parents; Raul and Herlinda Garcia, nieces; Abbra Anne Endicott, and Mariah Izzo. Gilberto is survived by his daughters; Idalia Harvey, Celia Rivera, Rosalinda Gomez, son; Gilbert Anthiny Garcia, son-in-laws; Alfred Harvey, Jose Angel Rivera, Jose Antonio Gomez, siblings; Joe Garcia, Robert Garcia, Gene Garcia, Mary Delgadillo, Sandy Corini, Rene Garcia, Rudy Garcia, grandchildren; Jeffery Lynn Rousseau, Amber Nicole Rousseau, Jose Angel Rivera Jr., Joseph Jack Rousseau II, and Jacob Andrew Rivera. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. on Sunday May 15, 2016 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday May 16, 2016 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow that same day at Seaside Memorial Park.
