Gilda Marie Thomas, daughter of the late George and Ethel Thomas was born on June 15, 1950, in Charles County, Maryland. She was preceded in death by the love of her life Gilbert Walls. Three sisters Barbara Ann, Vernell Brown, and Gloria Jean and one brother Daniel (Danny Boy) Thomas.
Gilda transitioned into God's hands peacefully at home on Thursday, January 20, 2022.
Gilda grew up in Charles County, MD and attended public schools with her siblings. Eventually Gilda moved to Prince Georges County. In the mid 1960’s She met Gilbert Walls they fell in love and from this union they were blessed with two children.
In her earlier years she played softball with friends and family (Kenny's All Stars), loved BINGO and loved to dance. Gilda loved family gatherings, spending time with her grandchild and great grandchildren, a very outspoken person and did not mind telling it like it is - which is one of her favorite songs. She has a well spring of friends that would ultimately became a part of her family and would help numerous family members as well as friends in an instant. With a heart as big as the sea she will be missed but her spirit is as vibrant as always.
Gilda leaves to cherish her precious memory her two Children Scott and Angel Walls, One Granddaughter Lori Ashlyn walls, two Great-Grandchildren Mozi and Melo,Woodley, Five sister’s Penny Gray, Elaine Thomas, Mary Helen Clark, Joyce Thomas and Natalie Graham a host of Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends.
Viewing, 10:00 a.m. until time of Service, 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2022, in the Chapel of Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home, P.A., (Israel Long life Church 64 Industrial Park, Waldorf, Maryland 20603.
Repast will be immediately after service at *American Legion (Green Acres) limited capacity social distancing and masking required.
I miss you so much, grandma. It’s been going on - almost 3 years since you left and I think about you everyday!
