Not sure what to say?

Even now, May 2025, I think of Gilda every time I drive downtown on Seaway & pass her house. Those memories are always warm & wonderful...her hugs, laugh, advice, even scoldings. She was so much more than a clerk, she was a friend, a sister, a mom.

A God wink, I´ve been cleaning in my basement this past week & discovered a shoebox of photos from my days teaching at Froebel. Gilda was such a bright light in those days. She was our beam of inspiration, a confidant, a "mom" away from home for many of our kiddos, a support for our principal, an all around "Go To". Loving to all, loved by all.

Gilda was a wonderful, smart and fun person. I knew Gilda from Muskegon public school and worked with her on bargaining for the clerical and classroom assistant union. She really was for people and cared for them deeply. Rest in peace Gilda. Heaven got a great angel Diane Panozzo

Gilda was our school clerk, secretary, enforcer, confidant, cheerleader, nurse, mom, comforter, defender at Froebel School for many years. She cared for her students, their families, her teachers & staff as if we were all family. She was loved. Heaven is celebrating her homecoming.

I met Gilda at Froebel..she was the secretary and I was a young teacher. I loved her laugh and listening ear and wise council over the years. I am so glad I visited her when she was at Hillcrest facility several months ago. We hugged and exchanged news just like the old days. Peace for Gilda and no more pain. Linda Brown

I knew Gilda during our time with Muskegon Public Schools. She was so kind, friendly and helpful to everyone- fellow employees, students and families. Always a smile on her face. My sincere sympathy to her family. I´m sure that she will be greatly missed. What love she shared!!

Gilda was a wonderful, unselfish, and caring co-worker. She carried a lot of people on her shoulders and wore many hats. I am sorry to hear of her passing and i know she will be missed by the many people that she touched.

Anyone who knew Gilda knew she cared about everyone. Ran in to her a few years ago and had a great talk. She was a blessing to know.

My memories of Gilda will always bring a smile to my face. Gilda was one in a million and a fabulous person. She certainly brightened my days, first at Phillips School (where we all knew she was in charge) and then at Bluffton School. Heaven has gained a hard working angel.
