Not sure what to say?

Gill lived on my floor at Lovell Hall at Appalachian for 2 years. She was smart, funny and beautiful. She would always try ANY folk remedy for arthritis that people would share with her. My sincere sympathy to her family.

Dear Stephen, Becca, Robbie and Lisa,
My heart goes out to all of you! When I think of Gill I can only see a smile. She was a true joy to be around and optimized giving back and helping others. She left a great imprint on the world. Prayers and warm thoughts, Joe Kessler

Stephen, Becca, Robbie, and Lisa,

Dwight and I send our love to all of you. A world without Gill's easy laugh, all encompassing personality, love and acceptance of all is a sadder one for sure. Her selflessness, genuine interest in anyone she met, and passion to fight for who and what she believed in were exemplary. We have 50 years of memories but it's not enough.

Love,
Sandra and Dwight Davis

Stephen, we are so sorry for your loss. Gill was just a terrific person who We always relished seeing. Can't believe she is gone. Take care. Nancy and Tom Botts

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Stephen. I wish I had known Gill. It would have been an honor.

Pat and I will miss Gill dearly. She and I became friends in 1974 when she lived across the court from us at the Mansards Apartments in Virginia Beach. She was my go-to for great recipes and good books. I plan on making her Watergate cake for Easter. God bless her and may she now be pain-free. Love, Pat and Mary Stroop

A beautifully written tribute to a remarkable woman. And she deserves every word. Certainly, one of the most positive, genuine, empathetic, funny, and courageous persons we have even met. We know she will be keenly missed by everyone who knew her. Our deep condolences to Steve and to Gill's family and friends; and to everyone who Gill touched in her extraordinary life. How we will miss her sunny, no-nonsense, irreverent personality. We are so very sorry that she is no longer in this...

Thank you Gill for taking care of me while I was ill. There was nothing I needed that you wouldn't take on. So generous, sincere. Will miss you at the Senior Center - our chats, your loving hugs. Will continue to see you break out a few steps when an oldie was played!
Love, Alene Wisnevsky
