Gillian was a valued colleague at Historic Scotland 1989-1996, and was missed when she left us to pursue the law. She was bright and creative. My condolences to her family.

I met Gillian at a conference and sat with her at dinner. I liked that she was eccentric and stood out from the crowd. This is sad news and my thoughts are with Gillian's children and family.
