Gillian was a valued colleague at Historic Scotland 1989-1996, and was missed when she left us to pursue the law. She was bright and creative. My condolences to her family.

I met Gillian at a conference and sat with her at dinner. I liked that she was eccentric and stood out from the crowd. This is sad news and my thoughts are with Gillian's children and family.

I'm very sorry to hear of this tragic loss.
I did not know Gillian, but was part of a group of editors that she was also a part of. People have fond memories of her. I am thinking of all of you at this difficult time.

Very sorry to hear this news. I met and chatted to Gillian at several editing conferences, and she sent me a very thoughtful and kind email after attending a workshop I ran. My thoughts are with all those who knew and loved her.
