Gina was born on June 8, 1954 and passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019. Gina was a resident of Toronto, Ohio at the time of passing. She graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1972 and was a member of St. Francis Parish. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 6, from 3-7 p.m. at Mosti Funeral Home Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., in Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 7, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis Church, 601 Loretta Ave., in Toronto. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943 or to The James Cancer Research Center on a fundraising page dedicated to Gina's memory, www.bit.ly/GinaPestian.
Marianne and I are deeply saddened to hear of Gina's passing. Gina's beautiful smile lit up every room she entered, and her caring, outreaching personality was endearing. Our sincerest condolences to Timmy and the entire family. May God hold Gina in the palms of His hands, and may the wonderful memories her eventually give peace and solace to her family. I will always remember first meeting Gina on her porch near the Roosevelt School Playground. Sometimes she would be there with other members of her family but you always knew Gina through that great smile. Her genuine kindness and beauty was always prevalent. After moving from Steubenville, I often visited family and made it a point to visit Timmy and Gina. We had great times, and Gina always demonstrated her great sense of humor in our gatherings.
