Ginger Asher-Weigel passed away suddenly on February 4, 2010. Ginger was taken from us far too soon and we will miss her deeply. Her sense of humor will be remembered most of all as well as her humble nature, strength of character and passion for life. Ginger loved being a nurse and her...

Ginger was camera shy. I had to take this from across the yard! You can see her happy smile.

Dear Murray and Ginger: This is in honor of Ginger, a very kind, sweet, caring, helpful, and good listener! She inspired me in my nursing field throughout the years, and encouraged me numerous times. I thank her for keeping me on track and giving me the positive perspective I needed. She will always be in my heart and I remember her vivacious smile. Murray she loved you dearly, and she was lucky to have such a wonderful man like you in her life.

In memory of Ginger, I wanted to write a little note to her and to Murray, as I know she can hear us and see us and read this....
Dear Ginger and Murray, I wanted to say thank you to you both for showing me what a true "marriage friendship" can be and should be. This special type of connection is possible when given the attention, respect and love of both partners, treating each other as equals. You two were an example to follow. Thank you. Love, Carol

I've known Ginger for just about ten years now. I would have to say, as many of you already have, that I'm going to miss her smile. It was warm, inviting and genuine. I would say or do just about anything to get her to laugh and smile again. I will miss her dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to Murr and to all of Gingers family.

Ginger Pie or Ginger Ale was what we called her at Healthsouth surgery center. She was fabulous to work with, smart, compassionate, funny. Always had a smile on that beautiful face. We talked about books endlessley. And she always wore "hippie" clothes and had cute pedicures. Truly a beautiful soul and a tremendous loss. We who knew her at the surgery center all feel devastated.

What I loved most about my sister-in-law was how much she loved and took care of my brother, her abitility to speak her mind, and her sense of humor in doing so. If something needed to be said, she said it. I will greatly miss 'The Ginge.'

Murray married late in life because he was waiting for Ginger. They were meant for each other. They used a different tone in their voices when they spoke to or about each other and could not be in the same room together without touching. She will be missed for everything she meant to our family and she will be loved forever for everything she meant to Murray.
