I only heard today (8/5) through my daughter who still lives in NJ of Gino's passing. Although it has been many years since I have been in touch with Gino, Carmela and the Abbate family, I have only the fondest memories of the many years I worked for Gino in the basement of his home on Murray St. when his bird business was in the early stages.
To Carmela, Ralph, Gino, Jr., Linda, Michael and their families, I extend my deepest condolensces. Your dad was an amazing man, and I hope your...

Mr Abate was a wealth of information to the bird fancy , his kindness and willingness to share his knowledge was unsurpassed . He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed . My condolencses to the Abate family . There never will be another like him.

My husband and I first met Mr. Abbate in his Elizabeth NJ location. We had been visiting relatives in NJ and needed to get more canary supplies. When we called, Mr. Abbate answered the phone and kindly invited us to come over and tour the facility. We were so impressed with him and his knowledge of birds and their diet and how carefully the seed was prepared. We have continued to order our canary supplies from ABBA. He was a very nice man and we are sorry to hear of his passing.

My family and I would like to extend our deepest condolensces to the Abbate Family. May he rest in peace and may his love and passion for life live on with his legacy.

Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. I spent many happy hours listening and learning about bird keeping from Dr. Abbate. His wonderful messages from around the world to bird fanciers will be sorely missed. There is no other like Dr. Abbate, and I will be one among many who will miss him.

We are very sorry for your loss. We send our condolences to your family.

Although it's difficult to see past your sorrow, know that you always have the memories of your father close at heart. My condolences to you and your family.

Sorry for the loss of your loved one. I have been a customer and follower of Mr. Abbate's bird ways for over a decade. He always loved to talk birds and never lost the passion that inspired many. God Bless.
