Not sure what to say?

Dear Strippoli Family-
Allyson and I are deeply saddened in hearing of your loss. Gino was a fraternity brother, friend, and roommate during my years at the University of Kansas. I'm sure all that reminisce about Gino find a smile on their face as they recall his spirit for fun, his passion for sport, and his heartfelt good nature.
“G” will always have a place in our hearts.
Our deepest sympathies-

Gino was my nepew. My three sons and my daughter had some wounderful times with him. We all rember him as fun, loving and easy to know and love.

I am shocked at Gino's passing. I, too, must acknowledge Gino's work at the Kansas City (KS) Kansan in the mid 1980s.

I met him there, both of us straight out of college, at our first professional newspaper jobs. Gino was a character and fun to work with, and I'm sad that we lost touch over the years. I knew him before he met and married Jean, and in reading all these entries from people whose lives he has touched, I am so grateful now to have known him.

My deepest sympathies,...

Jean
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this stressful time. Jon has fond memories of growing up with his cousin Gino. He will be missed. God Bless all of you.

To Gino's widow, kids, and parents: I see no entries in this book from Kansas City, Kansas. So I hasten to record my sorrow at his passing and my fond memories of his time at the Kansas City Kansan.

Gino was a sports writer and later sports editor during his tenure in the 1980s. I was his publisher. Our newsroom personnel budget was always threadbare and so we relied on young dedicated, passionate people like Gino to be our workhorses. And did he work. He became legendary for the...

Jean--
What a sad time for you and your family. Although I did not know Gino, it is apparent from all that has been said of him in this guest book that he was a special man. Know that your old Kansas friends grieve with you and pray for you.

Jean and family: I am so very sorry to hear the news of Gino's passing. He seemed like such a neat man, and I thoroughly enjoyed having the chance to be with him at our reunions (he gets TEN gold stars in my "best husbands" book for being willing to even COME to our reunions much less be so sweet and engaged).
Many warm thoughts and prayers from here Jean.
and love
Mary

I remember Gino very well from his Lawrence High School days where I was a French Teacher. He was a very likeable teenager and always had a positive outlook. Many from the Lawrence community would have fond memories of Gino and would send their condolences. Please accept my sympathies.

Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. I first met Gino when I was rushing the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at KU and he was one of the reasons why I joined. He left behind an amazing legacy, and speaking for all of the men of Pi Kappa Alpha, he will be miseed.
