I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew of Charlie since the late 90s when he was performing in Chicago often. We walked a lot of the same musical roads but only spoke through messages online. I never had the opportunity to meet him in person. Still, I use him as the bar to compare bass players to. He was a special man. Sending prayers for his journey and for his families strength. Not only my favorite uncle but a great friend. Charlie brought so much joy and inspiration to my life through his charm and charisma. He made me feel like I could conquer the world and do anything I want with my life. All while making me laugh. Simply put, Charlie was one of those people you just wanted to be around.
