TRAVERSE CITY — Gladys Ann Burrows, 87, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at Northwood Village AFC. Gladys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She worked for Michigan Bell, Hatch Pharmacy and was skilled at sewing, knitting and crocheting.

Gladys is survived by her children, William (Sandy) Burrows, Brenda Burrows and Pat Burrows; grandchildren, Amanda (Joe LaBreck) Burrows, Sara (Jake Belfry) Burrows, Christopher (Laurel) Burrows, Clete (Jen) Burrows and Cheryl (Scott) Goodwin; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Kianna and Ashlynn LaBreck, Lydia Burrows, Paige Burrows, Hadley Burrows and Scott Jr. and Madison Goodwin; and "son," Mike Lewis. She will be greatly missed by all.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Merritt Horne and George and Anna Weber; siblings, Bob and John Horne; beloved husband, Max Burrows; and beloved son, Robert Burrows.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home.

So sorry to hear of the loss of you mom. She was like a second mother to me while growing up on Traverse St.
Probably the coolest mom in town. I will always have many fond memories of her. Mostly the way she laughed. It was wonderful to be a part of your family.
