Not sure what to say?

To the Stirling family. I was saddened to learn of Sister Stirling's passing this morning. I like many others, had the opportunity to serve with President and Sister Stirling in the NZ Wellington Mission from 1977-1979. They were treasured years and I learned a lot about the gospel and about my self from your mom and dad. How wonderful it is to know that families are eternal and that love has no boundaries. Thank you for sharing your mom with me and with everyone in the land of the long...

Dear Stirlings,

A minute ago I received a phone call from Salt Lake that Sister Stirling had passed away. I've thought of her very often and have reflected on the great soul that she is. From my perspective she was a terrifc mission president's wife and a great friend while I served with them in New Zealand. She is truly an elect woman of God.

May the blessings of peace and assurance rest with you all.

Arohanui,

As I opened the door and saw her, a most beautiful feeling came over me and I felt her sweet spirit. I later wrote the following poem about that experience. What a choice woman she was and how I loved working with...

Steve, Craig and David, I was so sorry to read about your Mom in the paper. I am on a cruise between Spain and Monaco and so won't be able to express my condolances in person. Your Mom was a wonderful woman and you were lucky to have her. Jim
