Gladys Stringer

Gladys Robbins Stringer, 86, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family after a brief illness. 

Gladys was born November 13, 1934 in Stanford, KY to the late James Robbins and Beulah Robbins. Mrs. Stringer lived her entire life in Somerset, Kentucky.  She married William Stringer in 1963 who preceded her in death.  Together they raised one son, Jeffery, of Louisville.  She was a Charter member of Buena Vista Baptist Church.

Mrs. Stringer is survived by her son, Jeff Stringer (Angela); her grandchildren; Nicholas and Lauren Stringer; a sister, Dorothy Francis (Paul); a niece Debbie Isaacs (Mark), great-nieces Hannah McAlpin (Tucker), Haley Hall (Riley) and great-great nephew, Lennon.

The family would like to thank Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and Hospice of Lake Cumberland for their care and support over the last weeks.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will follow on Friday at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Hampton officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
