Glen Richard Balog

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Glen Richard Balog who left us on May 18 at the age of 68 after his long fight with cancer. Although Glen was born and raised in Cleveland, he spent over 30 years in Utah before returning to the Cleveland area.
Glen is survived by his loving wife, Linda Kenik, stepdaughters, Elizabeth Stricker, Ph.D. (Lacey), Christina Freund (Schad Dalton), his mother, Jeanette Kurka nee Ricey (Raymond - deceased), eldest brother to Gary, Donald (Coreen), David (Linda), Susan Zingalie (Carl). Cherished son in law to Estelita Kenik (Joseph - deceased). Loving uncle to Sean (Nicole), Nicolas, Conor, Cecilia Suszko, Kiana Gavin (Craig), Vincent Jones, Madeline Jones, and Jasmin Kenik. Brother - in - law to Joseph Kenik (Kozue), Ann Jones (Geoff), David Kenik (Kelli). Fun loving cousin to many. Predeceased by his father Richard J. Balog and his dear son, Derek. He was an awesome fur father to Tardis, Bean, Loki and Thor.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Fortuna Funeral Home, 7076 Brecksville Road, Independence, Ohio 44131. Glen was proud to be a United States Air Force veteran and will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
