Not sure what to say?

A desert "hero" has passed...
Glen was a unique
and will be a greatly missed "voice" in our community.
That often over-used phrase...one-of-a-kind...
Truly fits Glen Barnett.
I miss him
I miss "his" KWXY!

Glen Barnett was a very special man and I will remember him always. It was an honor to have known him.

He was the kindest most generous man I ever had the pleasure of meeting. He can now be reunited with Opal and they can RIP together.

This is one of the truly great men of the broadcasting world. Started with nothing...absolutely nothing. What a legacy. Glen and my father, Jim Wilson, worked together at KTMC. They remained friends for life. Glen was as proud of we Wilson kids as our parents were...and we knew it.

Was just in Palm Springs back in November and turned on KWXY to hear the sounds coming through the radio that I remembered as a kid. Went online and did a little research on the station to find out where it was located. Dropped by the old location and slipped a note for him under the door to thank Glen for bringing this "beautiful music" to the airwaves. Hope he got it. Thanks Glen and may you rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting Glen a few years ago. Glen was great person,,and look what he
accomplished in the 68 years of broadcasting. I am sure few could do what Glen did in the years he spent in the broadcast business. I am happy I got to meet Glen. Thanks to my good friend Bob Wetherall for giving me the chance to meet Glen and the fine staff and sound of KWXY.
