Ina Beecham (wife of the deceased, Bill Beecham) and family

As one of Glen's former speechwriters, I had the unique opportunity to spend good time with him. He treated me with respect, kindness, patience, and even admiration. He ALWAYS said thank you and gave me credit for my work. "She's my soulmate," he said ... "she knows what I'm thinking and what I need to say before I utter a word." He gave me confidence. And he was simply a joy to be around. After he retired and I left Caterpillar, I stayed in touch with him as a mentor and friend. I shall miss...

Polly: so sorry for your loss. Will always remember the good times. He was a super guy, thoughtful, kind and caring. Those are the things to remember him by, and we will.

So very sad to see this in the paper today. Glen was such a kind man. I enjoyed talking to him and he was always kidding me about "shooting him" I gave him many shots at the cancer center. Heaven gained an Angel for sure. My prayers are with his entire family. It was an Honor and Privilege to be a part of his care. Dee RN
