Not sure what to say?

Dear Glen, I remember reading of your father's death back in 2005. I remember you so well from both our years at Minor Elementary School, me as music teacher and you as a wonderful student. I went on from Minor in 1970 to teach at a Christian school and later in Jefferson County at Alliance Elementary. I hope all is going well for you and your family now. Let's see this obituary must have been written seventeen years ago, and I know we have both aged a bit since then. Thanks for being the...

To Glen's Family:
We were very sorry to hear of Glen's passing. As a child, I remember his tremendous gift of music that he shared with the congregation at First Church in Hamilton. My mother, Berta, sang in the choir and always carried great affection for Glenn and Marie. We went to visit them in Alabama after they left Hamilton. I know he will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Love & prayers

Dear Pam & Glen,
We value the memories we have of your father and your family. The nine years I worked for your Dad as his secretary at Pinehurst Church was a learning experience for me and was also a time of growing spiritually as well as professionally for me. We shared many joys and sorrows with the church family and other staff members. Also, our girls have wonderful memories of their growing up with you two and the other youth at the church. And neither of them will ever forget...

With sadness, I have just received the news of the death of Glen Bevis. He has been a part of the Luellen family for decades, beginning when my brother Jimmy was his associate pastor at Pinehurst.

During Campmeeting, 1976, Glen preached Jimmy's funeral service. And now, just before Campmeeting, 2005, the two are singing together in the heavenly choir at the Great Campmeeting.

May you each, Pam, Glen and family members, sense the love, comfort and peace that Our...

Dear Pamela & Other Family Members:

We extend our deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your dearly-loved father, father-in-law, grandfather, and uncle.

With our love, empathy and prayers,

David & Shirley

TRIBUTE TO GLEN BEVIS

Teaching the Joy Class was his claim to fame,
And Glen Bevis was his name.
Son, Father, Pastor and brother,
One of a kind, like no other.

His smile brightened the darkest nook-
With the class, he was happy playing Rook!
Faithful to the choir, with his tenor voice,
To sing the old Hymns was his choice.

Did not mind if the joke was on him,
Had a heart of gold that was...

Dear Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of The Rev. Bevis. I spoke with him often in my capacity as Church Secretary at RCC. He will be sorely missed.

Glen, I was so sorry to hear about your dad. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My Thoughts and Prayers are with all of you.
