Gonna Mia my weekly calls with Grandpa when I drive home from College in Jacksonville. It was mostly just to call and check on seeing how he was but we had the opportunity to talk about life growing up and how important the gospel was to him.

Not many people get lucky enough to have a grandpa who is one of their best friends. You were there for me for everything my whole life. Every birthday, holiday, vacation, struggle. I love you so much grandpa! I really wish we had more time. It´s already so hard to make dinner and not take some to you. It´s so hard not to have you call and remind me you need something over and over. I miss our talks and the incredibly sweet way you thanked us for everything, especially in the last few weeks....

For 6 years, I've saved every birthday and Christmas card he's given me. Every year, whether I went to visit him or not, he'd send me a card telling me that he loves me. I really wish that I had been more grateful for those acts of effort he would give, showing me how much he loves me. I loved playing skipbo with him and going over to grab an ice cream bar, he always had a smile on his face and a puzzle on the table, I sure will miss him
