Glen S. “Pete” Moncus, age 83, of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at his home.

He was born on June 3, 1924 in Amity, the son of Joseph Moncus and Glen Adams Moncus. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Tony Moncus of Nashville.

Glen was retired from Chicago Bridge and Iron and was a member of the Boilermaker’s Union.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis Moncus and his wife, Donita and Randy Moncus and his wife, Diane, all of Murfreesboro; one daughter-in-law, Gwen Moncus of Nashville; twelve grandchildren, Michelle Travis, Gena Corson, Randena Lee, Kelly Moncus, Travis Bostic, Allen Moncus, Krystal Beasley, Brandon McWha, Laura Holden, Jennifer McWha, Loretta Moncus and Melinda Moncus; fourteen great-granchildren; three brothers, Joseph Moncus and Jack Moncus, both of Amity and John Moncus of Sacramento, California; seven sisters, Stella Higginbottom of Canoga Park, California, Birdie Spradlin of Tyler, Texas, Pat Davies, Martha Eppler and Mary Moncus Cerny all of Sacramento, California, Helen Harrison of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Betty Buck of Amity.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 1, 2007, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Bobby Golden officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Interment will be in the Coker Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.

Pallbearers will be Randy Miller, Travis Bostic, Sterle Self, Keith Self, Danny Travis and Christopher Richardson.
