Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Mr. Sliger's passing. I had him for English in the 5th grade at Blanchard School. I loved his class and his sense of humor. I always remember the way he would kid me about my first name Eileen, he use to say "When I get tired, I lean". He was wonderful

To the Sliger Family,
My wife Martha and I were sad to hear of your father's passing. Glen was one of my favorite teaching buddies at Blanchard School, and he shared such good advice during our many long talks together. He was a man of wisdom and keen, compassionate understanding of human nature; a true friend. It was my privilege to get to know most of you, his children, as your 4th grade teacher. Now I pray that our Lord will comfort and guide you through this time of his passing.

Robert,
I am Glen's youngest Daughter. Yes i do remember Catechism at St.Sebastion School.LOl. All Six of us in fact remember Catechesim!Lol. Hey, I also had the priveledge to go to Holy Cross in Ventura for Junior High. I followed my Dad's path and taught at St. Sebastians School while my two children attended. I hope they enjoyed the memorization as much as we did! Lol! Wow! Dr. Stewart's office. My Mom and Dad believed in them so much, they did'nt utilize their insurance. They just...

Steve,
Thankyou for your kind words. It's is comforting to hear that his love, wisdom and words are being carried on by your children. I feel his strength and love now, more than ever...Yes i do believe he will help us all carry on what he brought to us in our daily living. Thankyou and your family. Mary Sliger

My heart sank when I found out Mr. Sliger had passed away. He was my 5th grade teacher at Blanchard Elementary and I always enjoyed being in his class. It was a happy place to be! He was such a special teacher and knew how to reach out to kids. He is an icon and left a legacy in Santa Paula! My thoughts and prayers to him and his family. We were all blessed to have him in our lives.

We were sorry to hear about Glen's passing. He was such a positive force in the lives of so many people. I know my father, Kendall Sands, will greatly miss his presence at The Palms. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

Dear Sligers, the thoughts of many are with you at this time. Glen was of the highest quality people we have ever met. He would give you his all and the shirt off his back. I'll never forget him cordinating the relief during the SP floods and his organization in the gym shelters at SPHS and classrooms at Thelma Bedell. God Bless and live as he did.

I knew Mr Sliger as a great supporter of his daughter and the Bonaventure softball team. I helped coach the team for a while and always appreciated parental support for the girls on the team. And he was without a doubt, the greatest supporter of the team.
Will always remember that.

Dear Sliger Family: Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of Glen, Mr. Sliger to me. I has Mr. Sliger in the 5th grade at Blanchard School. He was so funny and fair. Every student liked him and were awed when he punted the football out of sight. We knew he loved Notre Dame....he did not keep that a secret! Sorry to see a great father and human being pass away but Glen leaves a great legacy with a large loving family and loads of friends....a truly wonderful man!
