The Taylors were friends. I stayed with them for about a month just prior to going into the Navy. I needed a temporary place to stay and they provided it. At the time Glenda was only 13 years old and was like a little sister to me. She was cute and had a sweet personality. The last time I saw her and her parents was while I was home on leave in 1960. After that I was transferred to a different duty station, and they moved so we lost contact. It saddened me to learn of here death.

My mother always put her kids first and was a very loving, sweet and smart lady. She never asked for much and was always giving. She was the reason our family came together for meals, holidays and special occasions. She was a living angel and many loved her for her simplicity. My current wife is just like my mother and I thank my mom for showing me what to look for in a quality woman. We miss her so much!

Glenda had numerous gifts, but the greatest was her love for the Lord and her ability to light up any room she entered, with her smile and laughter.

Glenda has a very special place in my heart. As a young married woman, Glenda had me in her home every week for lunch and a Bible study which led to my baptism. I am forever grateful for all that she taught me. I still hear her sweet voice and her laugh. What a gift she was to this world.

We will miss Glenda so much! She was the classiest of ladies and had such a loving heart and a spontaneous smile. We remember meeting her for the first time in our One Groups. After just a short time while chatting over pizza, We felt like we were old friends. Not everyone gas that gift. She was just a joy to be around! She most definitely left her mark on this world and in the hearts of all who were privileged to call her 'friend'.

Glenda started a group of Christian ladies in 1992 called Sisters and the group is still meeting. Glenda was talented, loving and a lot of fun. This world was truly a better place because she lived. She was a Christian in every since of the word. Jim, Kim and family, I know you are very sad to give her up but now heaven is a better place because our lord has her. God bless you. With love, Cheryl Rooker
