Glenda Dickerson's daughter, Anitra, and my daughter, Marjorie, were friends in Junior high school in Setauket, Long Island, New York while Glenda was a theatre arts professor at Stony Brook University. Glenda was my classmate at Howard, and went n to boldly confront the traditional modes of theater with inspiration, skill and passion. Her loss is unbearable. I send sympathy and caring thoughts to her precious daughter and all her family.

I can name a few profound people who have touched my life and made me the artist & strong Black Woman that I am today.
