HAFER, Glenda Mae (Giny Millican) - Of Burton, age 56, passed away following a long illness on Sunday, November 23, 2003 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Doug Klein officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation 12Noon-8PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hafer was born in Flint, Michigan on September 23, 1947. She married Jack Hafer, in 1970. She retired from Peoples Bassett Furniture; she worked for People for several years and also Fenton Home Furniture Stores. She lived in the Flint area and Burton all of her life. She leaves to keep her memory, her loving husband, Jack; sons, Brian, and Scott and wife Ruth, all of Burton; six grandsons, Jason, Jeremy, Jake and Jared Hafer, Brennan Hafer and Alexander Graves; sister, Linda Stephenson of Luther, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Missy and James Graves, Robert Stephenson, Robert and Rose Beggs, Eric and Jenny Stephenson, Kenneth and Debra Ogles, Christy Campbell, Shirley Wells, Charles and Angie Freeman, Jeffery and Lydia Freeman, Ted Freeman, Julie Freeman, Gloria Freeman, Penny and Jerry Stillwagon and Amy Hafer; brother-in-law, Ferris and Mary Hafer; sisters-in-law, Pat and Ted Freeman and Helen Ogles; 3 aunts, Stellave Foust, Joy and Robert Black, and Mozell Mayle; several cousins, great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mona Millican; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Bobbie Beggs. The family gives a speical thanks to Dr. Larry Braver, without his loving care, Glenda would not have remained with us this long.
