Glendon S. "Glen" Rose, of Flint Township, age 96, died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at his residence. Funeral service was held at 12 Noon Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Rick Schmidt officiated. Burial in Flint Memorial Park with a military graveside service under the auspices of the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155 Honor Guard. I remember Glen as a very nice man to a little boy of about 4-5 yrs. old, that little boy was me about 1947. He was very nice to me when my mother would take me into his store on 3rd. Ave next to Hamady store. I just wanted to share my memory of him being a nice man, and I'm sure he was all of his life!!!
He helped create a nice memory.
