Not sure what to say?

Dear Glenni, Beth and Luke,
I will never forget Sunday afternoons after church at the Bartels'. It seems like so long ago. I don't even remember exactly everything we did, and I don't remember why we don't do them anymore, but I DO remember the peace and love I felt just being in your home. You could feel it in every room. Not only Glenn, but his entire family had a genuine love for others, and for the Lord. I won't pretend that I have any words that could possibly heal the wounds or...

Dear Beth, Gleni, and Luke,
Last February a friend of mine passed away from cancer after a 10 year battle. In her suffering Christ in her was perfected. The Lord gave me a picture of her dancing in a white dress just before she left. At her funeral her sister said she was wearing a white dress because she saw her dancing in a white dress also. Glenn may not be dancing, but then again he may. I know it is one thing that I look forward to. (Dell Jolliffe has promised to dance with me). Glenn...

My memory of Glenn specifically focuses on his compassion. Twice he included me in ministry to "the least of these." Once was when Glenn invited me to speak at the prison where he had regular meetings. (He would be glad to know that I now have a regular ministry of my own in a state facility here in Virginia.) And another time Glenn organized a memorial service for a man without a church connection--or much family, for that matter--and asked me to speak. In each case, I was impressed...

To All,
We didnt make the service, but knew Glenn for a very time. We loved him much and miss him daily.

Dear Beth, Glenni, and Luke:

I recall all the happy memories when I think of times spent with you all and Glen, like just hanging out at your house more than once, especially my 40th birthday party, which you hosted, and an informal “jam session” with some other brothers in Christ. (Thanks.) I also remember how he and Jerry came over and helped me redo that gate on the side of our house over on Willow Street. I even believe I still have a little magnetic drill bit extension Glen...

Beth, Gleni and Glenn - 5/14/05

Dear Brother,
It was very difficult to watch you and our family suffer so much during your illness, There were times when I spoke with you over the phone and it seemed that you were not ill at all. I know now that it was your soul, your love of the Lord and your belief in him that strengthened you each day closer to him. It must have been so difficult for you to watch your family suffer. Your love of the Lord and your strength will always be remembered. We will all miss you very much but...

Dear Beth, Glenni & Luke,

I am so thankful that God brought your family into my life. It was a joy to watch God pour into Glenn's life - His love, His joy and His passion for souls. Beth, you touched many women with your joy for the Lord as well. Glenni was a great friend to our daughter, especially during her time of illness in her teen years. We appreciated that so much. Luke came into the nursery school where I worked and we knew he was special from the very first day we met. In...

Dear Beth, Gleni and Luke,
Beth you have been part of my life for a very long time. I love you with all my heart. It seems like yesterday, we were hanging out at your house even before you met Glen. I remember your wedding how beautiful you looked and how happy the two of you were. Life goes by too quickly and I am so happy that your family knows that, Jesus is the most important person in our lives. He is ALIVE. In my years knowing Glen he grew so much in the Lord. He said to...
