Not sure what to say?

I just moved back to Michigan and wanted to surprise Glen. We were close friends at EMU. I’m stunned he has passed and sad we will not enjoy each other in our final chapter.

dear friend who introduced me to tons of fun! & loaned me his "mean green Hornet machine" when I had no car after divorcing my husband in StArmands...he allowed me to have transportation in the snow our first winter in Holland, 1988...appologized when not on target...a rare gift I appreciate! Every gal's hearthrob & dj! He introduced me to alternative thought & Fairchild Gardens...he invited me to go to Scotia...I appreciate this very much...I was unable to make the trip at the time...he...

Glenn was my neighbor and I found him to be refreshingly honest, intelligent and kind. He spoke of his relation to Alexander Graham Bell and showed me a photo once where he does resemble the famous inventor. Indeed, he loved Nova Scotia and looked forward to going there with his family. A more appropriate place for his memorial could not have been chosen. His gentle spirit will be missed.

Glenn --such a kind, brave & witty fellow. For many years I knew him--mostly when he lived on Oxford Rd.--and it was always a pleasure to see him. The last time was this time of year several years ago at the Art Fair. He will be greatly missed!

Glenn was my neighbor for many years, and although I did not have the history or longevity in knowing him, I knew he was a special person by the love shown to him by others in his life. I was privileged to sit in on a couple of poker games on occasion and got to know that group of friends he played poker with. Glenn also spoke with much pride about the family retreat that he gladly trekked
to so often and looked forward to. He showed me a photo of Alexander Graham Bell and sure enough...

My condolences go out to Glenn's friends and family. I will miss Glenn's smiling face and funny comments that lightened my day whenever I got to see him. I am grateful to have met such a kind, hard working guy like Glenn.

We are sorry to hear about Glen's passing. He provided peer traning to many persons with spinal cord injury being discharged from the University of Michigan Hospital SCI service and played a contributing role to the University of Michigan Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Model System project assisting us with the implementation of our Hospital to Community- Independent Living research demonstration project, which continues to be maintained by our health system. He will be missed! We remember him with...

I send my sincerest condolences to all of Glenn's family and loved ones. He was kind enough to share his home and his friendship with many. I will miss his twisted sense of humor and his smile, among other things.
You live on in my heart.

I'm so sorry to hear about Glenn's passing. Love to all the Bates.
