Pastor Glenn Louis Bundy, 74, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2008, at his home in Comanche County, Texas.
Glenn was born on July 4, 1934, in Council Bluffs, to Dwight L. Bundy and Marie (Schmitz) Bundy. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1952. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, during the Korean War. Glenn worked at the Union Pacific Rail Road Headquarters, designing bridges, before he found his calling to be a Lutheran Minister. He was Ordained at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs in 1971. Glenn served in several churches in Texas, until his retirement. He was never interested in material things. Glenn loved people and loved to help them. He was a talented carpenter, he spent his free time building kitchens, decks, and just about anything else a friend or family member needed or just wanted. He never charged for his labors of love. It gave him joy to help his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat; brother, Dale; and sister, Helen Hass.
He is survived by daughter, Susan Hubbell and husband, Phillip of Omaha; sons, Steven Bundy of San Antonio, Texas, Graham Fuchs and wife Heide of Tomball, Texas, Patrick Fuchs and wife, Beth of Bethlehem, Pa.; grandchildren, Randy, Jennifer, Hunter and Maia; great granddaughter, Alanna; sister, Shirley Crum of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews; and many, many great beloved and loving friends.
