Pastor Glenn Louis Bundy, 74, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2008, at his home in Comanche County, Texas.

Glenn was born on July 4, 1934, in Council Bluffs, to Dwight L. Bundy and Marie (Schmitz) Bundy. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1952. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, during the Korean War. Glenn worked at the Union Pacific Rail Road Headquarters, designing bridges, before he found his calling to be a Lutheran Minister. He was Ordained at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs in 1971. Glenn served in several churches in Texas, until his retirement. He was never interested in material things. Glenn loved people and loved to help them. He was a talented carpenter, he spent his free time building kitchens, decks, and just about anything else a friend or family member needed or just wanted. He never charged for his labors of love. It gave him joy to help his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat; brother, Dale; and sister, Helen Hass.

He is survived by daughter, Susan Hubbell and husband, Phillip of Omaha; sons, Steven Bundy of San Antonio, Texas, Graham Fuchs and wife Heide of Tomball, Texas, Patrick Fuchs and wife, Beth of Bethlehem, Pa.; grandchildren, Randy, Jennifer, Hunter and Maia; great granddaughter, Alanna; sister, Shirley Crum of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews; and many, many great beloved and loving friends.

Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to learn of Pastor Bundy's passing. I came to know him at Good Shepherd in Bastrop and he was the reason I returned to the church. Graham and my son John were best friends and John truly loved Pastor Bundy. Graham-my heart goes out to you, you and all of your family are in my prayers. Take care.

Our deepest Sympathy to all the Families of Glenn Louis Bundy. From you First Cousins, Julia and James Schmitz, Sr.

Our prayers and sympathy are with you.

Our sympathy.

We mourn a good man and a dear classmate.

My sympathy go to one and all. Class mate at A.L. 1952.

What a sorrowful thing it was to read of his passing. God has him at his side now.
