Not sure what to say?

Glenn, you are in our thoughts often.

So sad to hear of his passing. I had a troubled childhood and he had so much compassion. I was in his office , senior in high school, pregnant and without support. He told me if I missed one more minute of school I wouldn´t graduate. Then he asked me what he can do to help. I asked him if could have a week off of school to get my life in order. He gave me the week off and I will never forget his generosity. I am grateful for knowing him. Although I didn´t attend my graduation, I did...

Mr. Burgett resides within many great memories of mine. Best I know, there is not a member of class 1963 who didn't appreciate Mr. Burgett. He, Mr. Blossom, and others formed a team that insured we received an education that would carry us through life. During my school days, I was not gifted. My grades were low and I felt bad about myself but Mr. Burgett helped me get through those days. I joined the track team and took part in the high jump for three years. I trained hard and actualy took...

I had Mr. Burgett for 7th grade gym as a student teacher, 9th grade general science, biology, and 12th grade physics. I was his lab assistant for physics my senior year 1964. I came and saw him several times after I started my practice in 1971. So many good memories. Thank you Mr. B. Bruce Warber

Dear Pat and the entire Burgett family, What a great man! From the days of attending Huff school with Kyle, to the day of graduating at Creston and beyond , Glens name was mentioned often in our household. My father competed against Glen in both track and football and had mentioned his accomplishments and his athletic abilities , always in a positive light. His impact on so many life´s is far beyond what his family could imagine! It was a pleasure to meet up with you again recently and...

I am so sad to hear this! The best dressed principal at Creston, who always carried a smile on his face. Rest in peace, Mr. Burgett Sherri Ysseldyke Taylor

Dear Pat and family, I am unable to attend Glen's memorial service in person due to my current obligations in Texas, where my daughter is in the process of selling her property. I wanted to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to your entire family. Glen and I attended school together since kindergarten. In high school, we shared many moments on the football field. I have vivid memories of putting all my effort into blocking for him as he ran the ball down the...

I lived on Maple Street where he grew up. I am younger than he. But I remember the family!!! So sorry for your loss.

Glenn was one of my mentors when I was a student at Grand Rapids Junior College. He continued to give me good advice when I transferred to Michigan State to finish my undergraduate degree and throughout my graduate education at Purdue. I still share some of the advice Glenn gave me with my own students. My condolences to Pat and the whole family. Glenn's humanity and good work live on in many people.
