Mr. Gutridge was a positive influence during my high school times in running with Mindy and Missy in cross-country and track. He always had encouraging words to offer, a smile, and knew how to keep us "girls" working in the same direction. I often recall him at the finish of an event at a track meet, telling each athlete our times and providing positive words. He was always there at every x-c meet, challenging us to push forward individually and as a team. His smile was motivating. I...
