CLASS OF 1959

I lived in Beech Island and rode the bus with Glenn. He will be deeply missed.
I saw him in Hilton Head December 31, 2004 at Carolyn Bivens Cote's house. He was visiting Hilton Head for the weekend, and so full of life. We also had our picture made with Glenn that night if any of the family would like that picture, please write me at [email protected]
I am so glad I was able to visit and talk to him in December.

I never met Mr Pentecost but he palyed football for North Augusta along with my Unlce. Glenn signed the guest book for my Uncle Leroy Manders who passed away on 04/10/05. I wanted to let you all know that my family's prayers and thoughts are with the family.

Class of 1959 and had the honor of playing on 1958 Championship team with Glenn. He was one of the best!

There's an anonymous poem that
applies to Glenn's beloved life:
"Some people come into our lives
and quickly go. Others stay awhile,
and we are never, ever the same."
Glenn also lived Gandhi's advice,
"Be the change you wish to see in
the world." Glenn's good, generous,
and loving nature was a blessing to
all who came into contact with him.
His many kindnesses live on here
even though he's no longer with us.
...

Glenn had that rare qualiy that is
so valuable, and all too scarce--
integrity. As J.M. Barrie, the
author of Peter Pan, once said,
"Those who bring sunshine to the
lives of others cannot keep it from
themselves." This was certainly
true of Glenn, for he was always
doing kind and generous things for
others. He will be deeply missed.

Glenn always had the magic of
Christmas within his heart. He will
be dearly missed by all who had the
good fortune to have known him. My
deepest sympathy to his family.

My father Jerry Cashwell always spoke so highly of Glenn. I had the priviledge of meeting him several times during his visits to Savannah, he was someone that anybody could learn to love, SUPER-NICE GUY!My father died March 12th. Glenn and I spoke the week before and the week after. He was planning to come to Savannah for the service but was unable to make it. We talked about having lunch or dinner when he was in town, I wish we could have done that. I hope he and dad have a good time when he...
