Snow, Glenn Warren 84, died peacefully in his home at Park Shore Place, 3663 Park Center Blvd., St. Louis Park, Minnesota 55416, on November 14, 2006. Glenn was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 18, 1922 to Delmar B. and Alma Loesch Snow. Along with his wife, Jean Ann Pogalies Snow, they lived most of their married life in Berea, Ohio. Recently, they moved to the Minneapolis area to be near family. Glenn was a graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School in 1940 and of Case Institute of Technology in 1943 with a civil engineering degree. He served in the US Navy from 1942 until 1946. Glenn was owner and founder of Snow & Walters Corporation of Cleveland, Conger Corporation and Community Structures of Berea. He also worked as a consultant to Holiday Inns and Frazier Mortgage Co. Glenn was involved in many organizations, using his wisdom of construction and invention. He was on the boards of Metro Hospital, St. Luke's Hospital and The Domestic Violence Center in Cleveland. Glenn also served on the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity in Cleveland for many years and was instrumental in starting the successful Internship for College Students program. At Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Glenn served as a Trustee for more than 16 years, where he was head of the Buildings and Grounds Committee. From BW he received an Honorary Doctorate's degree in 1998. Glenn, along with his wife, were very active at the United Methodist Church of Berea. He served as a Trustee and on many committees and projects during their more than 50 years of membership. Glenn and Jean were the first couple to receive the prestigious Grindstone Award, for outstanding Berea citizens, in 1975. The Snow School of Berea Children's Home will long remember Glenn and Jean for their participation and gifts. Glenn was a devoted husband to his wife of 62 years, Jean Ann Pogalies Snow. He also leaves behind children, Kathleen (Chris) Macosko of Minneapolis, Holly (Peter) Sullivan of Bemus Point, NY, Michael (Laurie) Snow of Wayzata, MN and Peter (Betsy) Snow of Marathon, FL; his 10 grandchildren, Brynne Macosko Paguyo, Jed Macosko, Maren Macosko and Kase Macosko, Katy Sullivan Burns, Lindsay Sullivan McCann, Judson Sullivan, Zachary Snow, Kara Snow and Britni Snow; 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Their "Papa" will be remembered as an inventor, a creator, a man who could fix anything and who did for all who knew him. Glenn's honesty and integrity and wisdom will continue to serve as a role model for his family and his community. A Celebration to honor Glenn will be performed by his daughter, the Reverend Kathleen Macosko, on Friday, November 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Stadium Village Church, 501 Oak Street SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414.
