Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home - Navasota Obituary

Glenn Steven Tomkivits, 36, of Stoneham, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015.

A gathering of family and friends took place Monday, May 11, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. A vigil service led by Deacon Grant Holt, followed by a parish rosary led by Kaky and Tom Wetuski concluded the evening at 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated 10:30 am Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11323 County Road 304 in Stoneham, with Rev. Edward C. Kucera, Jr. as the celebrant. The rite of committal followed in St. Joseph Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Buck, Cameron Grant, John Parson, Cody Burzynski, Poogie Tomkivits, Jeff Podraza, Rodney Pearson and Cole Burzynski. Named as honorary pallbearers were Conrad, Kyle, Ted and Paul Burzynski and Derek Ashley.

Glenn was born January 13, 1979 in Conroe, Texas to Steve and Katherine "Kathy" Sue Klawinsky Tomkivits. A 1997 graduate of Montgomery High School, Glenn was a former automobile mechanic with Tomball Ford and was working with his dad at their own shop in Stoneham.

Everything Glenn did in life he did full speed ahead. He loved to hunt, to go mudding, to spend time at his deer lease, to raise a garden, to hunt dove in Brenham and to spend time talking to his brother. Clayton loved to hear Glenn's voice. Glenn never met a stranger and he loved his family and friends with all that he was.
If there was a NASCAR race or a football game; you can bet the TV was on and the BBQ pit was smoking.

Survivors include his parents, Steve and Kathy Tomkivits, his brother, Clayton Tomkivits, all of Stoneham, a sister, Mary Kroll and husband Mitch and nieces Logan and Kinley Kroll, all of Navasota.
