Glenn E "Slick" Uptain

When I was young, I rode on Slicks shoulders. It made me feel like I was the tallest man in the world. He was my cousin that lived on a farm and knew a lot about horses. I was a little "city slicker." I learned how to ride from him and how to walk tall like a man from him. He was more than just my cousin...he was a lifelong friend and one of the first role models in my young life. He has a special place in my heart. God rest his soul.

So sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with you all.

In my mind's eye I can see Glenn on that hill at Aunt Myrtle's relaxing in a folding chair after working hard over a hot grill cooking something good for all of us. We are so sad for this news and will miss him, but we take heart in Joshua 1:9 and pray it will bring comfort to the family, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.
