Glenn Wilson, 87, of Garards Fort, Pa., died at 8:55 P. M. on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born June 12, 1917 in Coolspring, Pa., a son of the late Clark Gladden and Katie V. Martin Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Uniontown High School and served with the U. S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific. He retired from the U. S. Steel Corporation Robena Mine in 1979 and was a member of the Robena Local 6321 of the U. M. W. A. Mr. Wilson was a member of the former Faith Church of the Nazarene at Greensboro. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

On October 28, 1939, he married Alverta Fosbrink, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Arthur Glenn Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Ann, of Virginia Beach, Va. and Larry P. Wilson and his wife, Joyce, of Headlee Heights, Garards Fort; a daughter, Audrey Jean Bohon of Point Marion, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Terry Neal Beck, Kelly Ann Beck, Tracy Lynn Medved, Christina Louise Beatty, Eric Allen Wilson, James H. Wilkins, Rebecca R. Wilson and Amy Lynn Caldwell; nine great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth C. Wilson of R. D. #4, Uniontown; three sisters, Dorothea M. Yurick of Upper Middletown, Bernice E. Shrum of Keisterville, Pa. and Shirley J. Myatt of Mount Vernon, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, James R. Wilson and Albert R. Wilson; four sisters, Hazel M. Wilson, who died in infancy, Virginia K. Shaffer, Mildred P. Harford and Elda J. Woodward.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 P. M. on Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P. M. on Friday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. on Saturday, November 6, 2004 with Mr. John H. Humble officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Smock, Pa. Cumberland American Legion Post 400 and V. F. W. Post 3491 will accord military honors at the graveside.
