Gloria R. Barcelos, 82 of Gustine passed away Wednesday, June 20th at her residence.
Mrs. Barcelos was born in Newman and was a lifelong resident of Gustine. She was a parishioner at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. Mrs. Barcelos was a member of Catholic Daughters, Our Lady of Miracles Society, Gustine Senior Citizens Club, PFSA and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing, festas, bull fights and playing bunco.
Mrs. Barcelos is survived by her son, Eric Barcelos of Valley Springs; daughters, Brenda Ross and Gina Wylie both of Modesto, and Lana Barcelos of Lodi; sisters, Angie Bento of Gustine and Lucy Downey of Los Banos; twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Barcelos and granddaughter, Kaela Ross; brothers, Manuel, Joe and Arthur Pacheco and sister, Loraine Telles.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 26th at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 27th at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. Interment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
