Rest in the peace that only Jesus provides, sweet lady. To her family, my heart-felt condolences. May you find comfort in knowing that Mrs. Canales was very loved and respected. Our granddaughter, Chelsea, learned a lot from the example set forth by Mrs. Canales. Your precious mom will forever be remembered with great love, respect, and admiration. Thank y'all for sharing her with us and the world. May you all take comfort in knowing that she is peacefully resting in the arms of Jesus.

I worked for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce formally named the Mexican American Chamber of Commerce under the Presidency of Mrs. Canales. She was an outstanding individual, working hard for the Harlingen community. She was an honorable person, was proud of her culture and her craft in dance. She is one of kind a true legend. Adios Senora Canales.

So many beautiful memories and exciting times with Mrs. Canales. Condolences from the Villarreal family.
