1933 - 2023
Lynn - Gloria "Chickie" (Tournas) Daniels, of Lynn, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the age of 89. She was the wife of the late Melvin Parker Daniels.
Born in Lynn, Gloria was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Christopoulos) Tournas.
A lifelong resident of Lynn, Gloria graduated Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1951. After high school, Gloria went on to work for the City of Lynn in the Assessor's Office as Head Clerk until her retirement in 1995. Outside of work, she volunteered her time for Lynn Youth Hockey and Wyoma Little League. Most of all, Gloria adored her dogs. She was so devoted to them that no matter what the weather conditions were, you could be sure to find Gloria walking her dogs.
Gloria leaves behind her sons, Scott D. Daniels of Salisbury, and Dana P. Daniels of Lynn. She also leaves behind David Ross, Louise "Lulu" Ross, and all her loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was predeceased by her brothers, Alex Tournas, John Tournas, Peter Tournas, and her sisters Betty Georges, Catherine Paradis, and Paula Guptill.
Service Information: A graveside service will be held for Gloria on Friday, March 3, 2023 in the Pine Grove Cemetery, 145 Boston St. Lynn, at 11am. Please meet at the front entrance of the cemetery at 10:45am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to MSPCA at 350 S Huntington Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130, or at mspca.org

Hi Dana I know this condolence is a little late in coming but I just saw that your mom passed away in 2023. I was so sorry to read that I know you guys were tight you always talked about her with such great fondness and love I'm so sorry for your loss
