Gloria Dawson Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Gloria B. Dawson, 81 of Atlanta died January 3, 2007. A native Atlantan, Mrs. Dawson was a faithful and active member of North Avenue Presbyterian Church for over 60 years, she retired after 30 years of service with Rich's department store where she was one of the top sales people in her department the Regency Room. Preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Charles Wesley Dawson, She is survived by her daughter, Pat Pinson Maddox, sons, Reginald Wesley Dawson, Charles Seignious Dawson, Vernon Kells Dawson, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, sister Virginia Osborne and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 7th at 2 pm at Oglethorpe Hill Chapel. Interment Peachtree Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Atlanta. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 until 6 at H.M. Patterson & Son, Oglethorpe Hill Chapel 4550 Peachtree Road, NE, (404) 261-3510.
