Gloria Jean Hulin, 80, passed away in her home in Houston, Texas, Thursday January 14, 2021 at 10:15 in the morning. Gloria was born in Houston, Texas on September 6, 1940 to parents, Alfred and Blanche Greer.
Gloria was a devoted Christian, a loving wife, mother, sister, Aunt and friend. She loved the Lord with all her heart and always put Him first.
She was a member to Long Point Assembly of God Church in Houston, Texas, Spring Branch, for over 20 years. During her time there, her and her husband, Allen, were very dedicated to the bus ministry and to children's church for many years.
After Long Point Assembly of God Church, she became a member of The Real Life Church in Tomball, Texas, where her and Allen loved being involved with the seniors group.
Through both Churches she touched many lives and made life long friends.
When she met someone, that was her opportunity to share her love of Christ and unwavering faith. She was a prayer warrior and her day's were filled with prayer and bible reading. You could always see Christ radiate through her. She always wore her beautiful smile and had that infectious, unique laugh. She loved to have fun and was a joy to be around. She will be truly missed by all her family and her many friends.
Gloria is survived by, her daughter, Terrie Payne and son, Bobby Payne Jr.; brother, Alfred (Sylvia) Greer; sister, Nancy Mathews; brother, Floyd Greer; brother, Thomas Greer; sister, Suzan Holley; step-daughter, Lara Hulin; grandchildren, James Thomas, Arakai Moon, Melissa (Robert) White; two great granddaughters and a great grandson and her many nieces and nephews.
Gloria is preceded in rest by, her loving husband, Allen D. Hulin; her father, Alfred Greer and mother, Blanche Greer; son, Roger Payne; son, Baby Boy Payne and step-daughter, Angela Hulin.
The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Claire Brothers Funeral Home, 7901 Hillcroft Street, Houston, Texas 77081. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021
at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble, Texas 77338. Pastor Steve Owens with Real Life Church of Tomball, Texas will be officiating.
