WATERLOO, Wis. — Gloria A. Kracht, 71, of Waterloo, Wis., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2008, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wis.

The former Gloria Reed was born May 5, 1936, in Thompsonville, daughter of Roy and Hazel (Keillor) Reed. She married Lyle Kracht Aug. 24, 1957, in Benzonia.

She had been employed at A.P.V. Crepaco in Lake Mills, Wis., for many years, retiring in 1990.

Gloria loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Lyle Kracht of Waterloo, Wis.; a son, Herbie (Mary) Kracht of Milton, Wis.; three daughters, Rita (Wade) Copley of Marshall, Wis., Brenda Kracht of Fort Atkinson, Wis., and Tammera Kracht of Waterloo, Wis.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Adeline Bower and Sandra Houghton, both of Thompsonville, and Juna (George) Richardson of Oxford; a number of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Rose Marie; three brothers, Rodney, Orlin and David; and a sister, Donna.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, in Washington Cemetery, town of Portland, Wis.

The Pederson Funeral Home of Waterloo is in charge of arrangements.
