Molly Hines Reid passed away suddenly at her home in Lake Ridge, Virginia on July 15, 2020 at the age of 28 years old. "And we wept that one so lovely should have a life so brief." - William Cullen Bryant Born in Alexandria, Virginia, September 15, 1991, to John Ernest and Pamela (Brown) Reid, Molly was a lifelong resident of the Northern Virginia area. She graduated from Woodbridge High School and studied at Radford University and at Northern Virginia Community College. Molly was employed as a barista at Starbucks. She was previously employed as an apparel sales lead at Dick's Sporting Goods, a store manager at Finish Line, and as a data analyst at Forfeiture Support Associates, LLC. Molly leaves behind a beloved son, Elijah John McCoy; her partner Daniel McCoy; her parents John and Pamela (Brown) Reid; a sister Major Brittany (Reid) Warren and brother-in-law, Lieutenant Colonel Lloyd Warren; and a brother, Andrew Reid. She is lovingly remembered by her nieces, Sophia Warren and Skylar Warren, and her nephew, Samuel Warren. Her family is struggling to make sense of a life cut so suddenly and terribly short. Molly will be cremated and her ashes scattered at a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Molly's favorite charity, St. Judes Children's Research Hospital: https://bit.ly/2OtZxps

Not sure what to say?

Molly was my best friend, she bought me this necklace. She´s the only person to ever get me something personally engraved with so much love. When I miss her/ am having a hard time, I look at the engraving, "she believed she could, so she did". It makes me feel like she herself is telling me it.

Molly was one of my best friends for years. I love her dearly. She stays in my thoughts and I know she touched other lives with the same electric touch honored me with. People like Molly you don't move on from, you move forward with them. Because they never really leave you, and I don't think I would want her to. I do miss you though Molly. I'll see you on the other side my Love.

Dear Pam and John. I was so sorry to hear about Molly's sudden death. I have so many fond memories of her in my 5th grade class. What a tragedy for your entire family. I grieve with you as you mourn this unbearable loss. My love to you all. Sally Cotner

Molly was more than just a great friend; she was a great person. Always smiling and always so sweet to others. She celebrated the victories and accomplishments of others, always wanting those around her to be the best person they could be. She was an amazing mom, daughter and friend. The world lost an irreplaceable soul but the mark she left on the world is unmistakable and will never fade. Rest peacefully, my amazing friend. Love and miss you.

My condolences to the family of Molly.

Words cannot express our sadness & sympathy. Her family meant the world to her.

WE'RE SO THANKFUL TO MOLLY FOR THE GENUINE KINDNESS, COMPASSION, SPIRIT AND JOY SHE BROUGHT TO OUR LIVES. HER MEMORY AND OUR LOVE FOR HER WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS. LOVE, MARK & BUBBA

John and Pam, We heard about Molly's unexpected passing in Williamsburg. Joe remembers Molly on a school field trip with Brittany in elementary school that he chaperoned. When he walked our dog, he frequently saw Molly on the path with your dog too. She was always friendly and sweet, a Westridge staple. We send our love and condolences to everyone in the family including her precious little boy.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. My thoughts and prayers for her family.
