Gloria was my first cousin Her father, Jack and my father Julius were brothers. I only met her once as a young adult but I knew much about her from the family. I even had a theatrical picture of her and remember being proud of her accomplishments as a little girl. I saw her in Broadway Danny Rose and delighted in it. He dated her briefly and we went to her house in Long Island! She will be forever remembered for her kindness and sasssiness! We will miss you Gloria.

Yesterday August 20th, 2023 was celebrity Gloria Parker ‘s 102nd birthday.
I first saw Gloria perform with her band in 1991 at a festival. I photographed her and mailed the photos to her, to which she contacted me and we became friends. I enjoyed our frequent phone conversations and all the stories she spoke about the entertainment business and her career.

Periodically, I would go to her local shows at different venues and she was gracious to even let me perform a few songs...
