Wow a year has come since Gloria´s passing, time flies I pray this message finds that peace has at least began to settle in the hearts of Jimmy and Ebonne. I was just going through some old photos and ran across a pic of the baby shower I hosted in my home for Gloria as we awaited Ebonne´s arrival praying for continued healing & peace

Gloria was not blood but we were family. Gloria was the sweetest person I knew and she will be missed. Jim and Ebonne you are in our prayers and we'll always be family. I'm going to miss our weekly calls. To know Gloria was to love her.

Dr. Gloria Ruffins and I were close colleagues and friends at the A.S. Jenks School in Philadelphia from the 1970´s until the 1990´s. She possessed a beautiful temperament of kindness and a creative flair for teaching children. She stood tall literally and figuratively with grace and beauty, a beloved educator. Though I moved to Los Angeles, we remained close friends with deep love for our families and each other´s. Cancer was not a friend to either of us and we shared that too. I am sending...
