Gloria W. Rutledge

Granny Gloria came into my life in 2009 and quickly became a source of comfort and wisdom. She spoke hard truths with love and encouraged me always to choose God, myself, and my son above all else-a choice I´ll never regret. Though distance kept us apart, she always held us close at heart, never missing a holiday or her great-grandson´s birthday with her letters. We will miss our dear pen pal, but her love will always remain with us. With all our love forever Granny, Kaylani and Emmanuel

I worked with Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Rutledge at the 2290th United States Army Hospital (Reserve Unit), Washington, DC, where I served as the Chief Nurse until 2003. LTC Rutledge was one of the best nurses in the Unit. She was always gracious, kind, and dedicated to military nursing and to the soldiers she oversaw. LTC Rutledge rose to be a senior nurse leader and supervisor of this large Unit. I am deeply saddened at her passing. She exuded peace and beauty when she smiled. LTC Rutledge...

I was fortunate to be a friend of Gloria. We served together in the US Army Reserve. What a lovely and gracious lady. LTC Ruthledge was an excellent and professional nurse and officer.
