Although I never had the good fortune of meeting Mrs. Willis, I am a friend and colleague to one of her granddaughters. Because of that, I feel as though I know a little bit about her incessant patience, her goodwill, her irresistible rum cakes, and the bright light that she was to everyone whose life she touched. I am confident that her legacy and influence will live on through the actions of her family and closest friends as I bear witness to such generosity of spirit every day in her...

My first job after college was at the family practice in Mt. Holly with Dr. and Mrs. Willis. I have great memories that are still vivid of my time spent with her all these years later. Blessings and prayers to all who mourn the loss of one so special.

Mrs. Willis was absolutely one of a kind and thank goodness she needed to be with that husband of hers. I can hear Dr. Willis calling her the world's tallest midget, how he loved that blouse with the scallops down the front. My 10 years with them was an education in of itself. It was their encouragement, support and belief in me that allowed me to pursue my goals. They were my family when we worked together in Mt.Holly.
