Gloria B. Zink

Gloria Mae Brownell Zink, 85, of West Lafayette, died Monday, December 3, 2012, at University Place. On May 15, 1927, Gloria was born to Jay and Ida Brownell in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1950 she married her husband Robert and in 1953 she moved to West Lafayette, where she resided until her death. Gloria attended IUPUI and was certified in healthcare administration and severed in that capacity in Westminster Village retirement Community and she was the Executive Director for Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette. Gloria was a member of the First United Methodist Church in West Lafayette, served for a time as the Director of Religious Education, and for many years she volunteered at the Thrift Shop, a consignment store associated with the church. Survivors include her husband of 62 years: Robert; sons: David (Karen), Richard (Virginia), William (Bonnie); sister: Shirley Egan (Hilary); four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service in Gloria's honor will take place at 11:00 AM, 8 December 2012, at University Place, 1700 Lindberg Rd., West Lafayette, IN.
