It has been my honor and privilege to work with Glorya Kaufman for over thirty years as members of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Kaufman Brentwood Branch Library. The library, which opened on July 17, 1994, and was named the Donald Bruce Kaufman Brentwood Branch Library in memory of her husband, was Glorya's first philanthropic endeavor. My sincere condolences to Glorya's family, all the Friends of the Library and the Los Angeles Community at large. She will always be remembered for her love of the arts, her generosity, philanthropy and leadership. But perhaps her most endearing, enduring gift, her style. We will miss her and will always treasure her memory. She was our Friend.
